After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley in 2001 with degrees in art history and literature, sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy launched Rodarte in 2005 and soon became darlings of the fashion world. Their pieces are wearable works of art and their design and costume work has been exhibited in art museums, worn by prima ballerinas and featured in Academy Award-nominated films.
